Christian Initiation

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)
St. John Neumann

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is the process by which those who are interested in becoming Catholic may explore the Catholic faith traditions as they journey together with a team of catechists toward commitment and initiation into the Catholic Church. Summer inquiry sessions give way to weekly preparation sessions and seasonal rituals that culminate in initiation at the Easter vigil. RCIA is available for anyone unbaptized, baptized in another faith denomination, baptized Catholic but not fully initiated (Eucharist/Confirmation) and/or just wanting to refresh themselves in the Catholic faith.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC)

Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC) is the process of welcoming unbaptized or uncatechized children over the age of seven into the Catholic faith community. It mirrors the RCIA process with attention to the age of the children making the faith journey.
